After almost 30 years as a writer, performer and recording artist, Andy has taken a step into the solo world. His new release, "Up Hill Both Ways," is a collection of new and old unreleased songs over the past 20 years. These songs paint a portrait of a beautiful on the outside yet ugly on the inside struggle of the working class hero and the every day grind.
Andy was born is Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario and grew up in the small town of Thessalon, Ontario, just an hour east of the Soo. He currently lives in London, Ontario with his partner and two young daughters.
Andy is excited for the release of his first solo album which will be his 14th career recording. Chillman is booked for a tour of Western Canada which he will be heading out for a few weeks on December 4th, 2016. He is also booking for the 2017 year and working on getting his music into the 2017 festival rotation.
Chillman now performs his solo work accompanied by his acoustic guitar, Kathleen Georgia and on occasion musicians and friends from previous projects including Jessie Jones (Too Much Unsaid, The Bird Stone Revival), Johnny Humphries (The Bird Stone Revival) and Adam Goodlet (Too Much Unsaid, The Bird Stone Revival).
Be sure to check out one of his upcoming shows as Andy leaves it all on the stage in a very raw, stripped down performance with a appreciative and honest commitment to his audience.
